Oh...

Good point about blink-and-gone.  I usually just use 'all.dem' for 
testing purposes and if I want to know about features I look to the 
individual demo files.

That makes me wonder if maybe gnuplot should have an internal pause 
setting that is inherent after every plot.  E.g.,

set pause 0.5 plot
load 'all.dem'

which would pause a half second after every plot no matter if there are 
queued carriage returns or a NULL input.  Something like that.
