Hello, Someone on the Octave maintainers list came across a segfault in the Qt terminal with a fairly recent build of gnuplot. He isolated the minimal amount of commands to cause the crash which I've copied below. If no one knows of any recent change that may have caused a problem, I will look into this this weekend.
