   Hello to everyone!


   I would like to plot two horizontal lines and two vertical lines, something
   like this:

   |________________________
   |                |       |
   |                |       |
   |                |       |
   |__________|____|
   |                |       | 
   |                |       |
   |                |       |
   |                |       |
   |__________|____|__________

   both with plot and splot command (for a 3D style). Fact is that I am new to
   gnuplot (only used it for a couple of weeks), and I cannot figure out how it
   really works. I tried plotting it by using a data file, with no luck
   whatsoever.


You want to use

set arrow from x0,y0 to x1,y1 nohead
plot 1/0

And:

help set arrow

will explain arrows for you.
