[Gnuplot-info] Linestyle or Linetype with Objects?

Is there a way to set the linetype or style for an object?

Something like this:
	set object 1 circle at 0,0 size 1 lt 0
does not seem to work:
	Unrecognized or duplicate option

(At least in gnuplot 4.4.)
