[Gnuplot-info] Failure of displaying features

The default display of line width (or thickness) and font size is small and
therefore I modify quite a bit according to Google search. While pointsize
and linewidth work, the following codes don't work at all.

set key font ",24"
set ylabel "ratio" font ",36"
set ytics font ",36"

set key font ",24" returns an error of "font" not found. The other codes do
not return errors, but the font size doesn't change at all.

I'm using tcsh 
Linux centos117 2.6.18-194.el5 #1 SMP Fri Apr 2 14:58:14 EDT 2010 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

gnuplot 4.0 and 4.4.4 both don't work.
