The help system files are fully generated for inclusion in each release,
but they are not regenerated for the CVS repository every time there is a
change to the source.  I don't mind updating gnuplot-tikz.help, but you
really shouldn't expect the CVS copy of any generated file to be in sync
with the copy produced by build+install.

By "the system keeps complaining", do you mean some "make" target or
do you mean git?
