[Gnuplot-info] Gnuplot and Qt

Hi everybody,

since my last question here was solved perfectly, I'm optimistic to find a
solution to this topic:
I'm currently working on a Linux application using C++ and the Qt framework.
The software uses an I/O-stream to communicate with Gnuplot and is already
able to plot a graph into a png file, which is opened by the C-code and
displayed in a QGraphicsView. 
This method is simple but the possibilites are limited. So, as you probably
can guess, I'm trying to include the Gnuplot-window into my software. 

I've tried the following Gnuplot command from the documentation (83.78):
set term x11 window "36003a8"   ("3600.." = winID of an empty QMainWindow)

Unfortunately Gnuplot responds with:
Terminal type set to 'x11'
undefined variable: window

What do you think about my attempt - is it even possible to implement
Gnuplot into another application this way? Are there any easier
possibilities?
