I have never used octave but I guess if you close octave your gnuplot window will be closed, too? That's what I don't want, since without "--persist" my gnuplot window closes after my c++ program is finished (which might be quite fast).
And I have already tried to ffluch(pipe) after every command without success.
Nevertheless thanks for your hints, more are welcomed ;)
