The reason for that message is that those:

are the wrong way to spell pathnames in gnuplot on Windows.  The 
backslash character has special meaning in "double quoted" strings in 
gnuplot (see "help quotes").  You want to write one of the following 
instead:

	"C:\\Placas\\malla.dat"
	'C:\Placas\malla.dat'
	"C:/Placas/malla.dat"
	'C:/Placas/malla.dat'

You might also want to consider changing to the folder you're actually 
working in, rather than running in gnuplot's installation directory, 
where you really should not be keeping your data files.  Either do that 
from the outside, before you start gnuplot, or 'cd' inside gnuplot (see 
"help cd").

Or, if you consistently keep all your files in a few fixed places, you 
might want to consider setting the GNUPLOT_LIB environment variable to 
let it find them there by default (see "help environment").
