[Gnuplot-info] File with sequence of images a' la' ImageJ

Hello,

  The "import" option in the viewer ImageJ (from imagej.nih.gov)
  can display a binary file with N images by bring up a window 
  with a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom -- moving the scroll
  bar results in different images of the sequence being shown in 
  the window.  How can this effect be achieved in gnuplot?  Instead
  of the horizontal slider, it is OK if the right and left arrow
  keys need to be used to move to the next or to the previous 
  image in the sequence.  (The images in the file are slices of 
  a CT Scan.)
