[Gnuplot-info] coloured dumb terminal similar to wavemon display

I'm looking for a command line plotter. The gnuplot term dumb is basically it but is there a way to make it use ncurses for nicer/coloured plots? Is there a way to generate plots like those of wavemon (http://eden-feed.erg.abdn.ac.uk/wavemon/img/wavemon2.png)?
If not, does anybody know of a utility that could do this?
