I left my Mac churning away *still* after 2 hours with Fink building gnuplot - surely it doesn't really have *that* many dependencies?!

Hi Sanjib-

I built and installed gnuplot on OS X (10.5.8) direct from the
sourceforge tarball (4.4.2), rather than with fink, and tab
autocomplete works OK...
