[Gnuplot-info] Colour values in not-continuous palettes

Hi!

 

I have this simple question:

When you use this palette with a range from 0 to 3:

set palette model RGB defined (0 "green", 1 "dark-green", 1 "yellow", 2
"dark-yellow", 2 "red", 3 "dark-red" )

 

What colours take the values 1 and 2?

Always the first one? (dark-green and dark-yellow)

Always the second one? (yellow and red)

Is there a way to select the colour that will be chosen in the palette
jump?
