[Gnuplot-info] how to fill background color of a label?

Hello,

I am trying to fill the empty space of a label with background color so that
it could appear before anything else, without being blocked by whatever
underneath it. I checked help set label, but didn't lead me anywhere. The
closest option is front, but it does not do what I asked for. Thanks for any
advices,
