I can think of no explanation for that. It is mystifying. So far as I know, the only difference in compiling gnuplot.exe and wgnuplot.exe is the environmental variable WGP_CONSOLE. Is that correct? But I do not see any code in either parse.c and axis.c that depends on WGP_CONSOLE.
