You'll have to remove sargraph from the picture before this can be 
treated as a gnuplot problem.  That means you have to find out the exact 
command sequence set up by sargraph, and check it directly in gnuplot 
yourself.  As is, gnuplot's error messages appear to go straight to 
/dev/null.

It could be something simple, like the PNG driver missing from your 
gnuplot executable.
