[Gnuplot-info] Bad option error

Hi all

Iv installed sargraph and gnuplot 4.4 on an P5 aix box. The SAR bineries are
being generated but when i run 

 ./sargraph.ksh /var/adm/sa/sar.bin.20100916 -p output.png

i get the error 

Creating plot in file output.png...
gnuplot: bad option: /tmp/sargraph.ksh.610438.cmd
gnuplot: X11 aborted.

nothing is created in /tmp
iv checked all configs anf they look fine, am i missing something here.
apologies if this is noobish, but i cant find anything in this forum for
this error.
