[Gnuplot-info] some editing problems met in gnuplot

Hello,

I have been bothered by some editing problems when using gnuplot, and come
here asking for help. They could be because of my system setting, but let me
check with this forum first.

(1) the home/end/delete key does not work, they give 0F, 0H,3~,2~ for home,
end, delete, insert key respectively. My laptop is lenovo x61s, these keys
are distributed on a separate panel from the main keyboard. I don't know
whether this is the issue, if the case, how to deal with it.

(2) when the input line is too long, it will break to the next line. Then
the editing on the previous line would be a problem --- the cursor cannot
reach the above line.  This is very annoying! Is this a common problem, or
just me meet with this? Anybody has any idea towards this?

BTW, the version of gnuplot used is Version 4.2 patchlevel 2. The operation
system is Ubuntu 8.04.
