[Gnuplot-info] multiplot with horizontal line

Readers,

A graph is plotted where the ordinate axis has a range 0-500 due to
the data file. A horizontal line was added using the following
commands:

set multiplot
plot 'file.dat' using 2 lt rgb 'black'
l=10
f(x)=l
plot f(x) with dots
unset multiplot

How to specify that the command 'plot f(x)' uses the same axes as
determined by 'file.dat'?
