The help file is OK, it´s just a problem with win7 security. You have to
install (copy from archive to /program files) as asministrator, AND remove
the access block win7 puts on the help file afterwards.
Then you can just enter "help" in gnuplot and winhlp32 open the gnuplot
help. Even as non-administrator user.

Perhaps gnuplot really ought to have an installer now.

I rearrange the above (, which includes my suspection because I do not have windows 7 or vista.)

1. logon windows 7 as an administrator
2. go to the folder where gnuplot binaries are saved (e.g. C:\Program Files\gnuplot\binary)
3. pull the context menu by clicking icon of wgnuplot.hlp by right mouse button
4. goto 'properties' tab and REMOVE the access block for wgnuplot.hlp from the securities setting of
windows 7

Winhelp32.exe is 32 bit application so that I do not know it works correctly on 64 bit windows 7.
At least, the bug reporter above could use 'wgnuplot.hlp' on his windows 7 considering the above
description.
