[Gnuplot-info] pm3d and two palettes

Dear Gnuplot users

>From time to time I have to take gnuplot over the limits (;)! I am making a
splot with two surfaces using pm3d. One of the surfaces runs over the second
(basically is a wave packet propagation over a interaction potential
surface). What I'm trying to do is to use two different sets of colours to
define both surfaces since one is quantitative while the second is only
qualitative. Using only one palette we cannot see much detail. I tried to
use the 4th column but I'm always constrained by the range of the
quantitative one.

Any suggestion for this plots?
