[Gnuplot-info] Umlauts with PDF terminal

Hey,

I wonder on how to get german umlauts properly displayed with the PDF
terminal? I use 

set encoding utf8
set term pdf color enhanced font "Helvetica" fsize 10

where the umlauts are broken both in title and in external data labels.
I thought it might be the font, but I can't get another font selected on
Mac OS X with:

set fontpath "/Library/Fonts/"

but my font is never found. I assume I have to use the PostScript-Name
of the font...
