[Gnuplot-info] redirection of Gnuplot output/errors

Hi everybody,
I have problem with redirection of data printed by GnuPlot to terminal
when working in batch mode. I have a bash script generating and
invoking GnuPlot's scripts. On terminal (STDOUT and/or STDERR) I need
bash script's messages, not fitting parameters.
I've tried
gnuplot script.gp 2>&1 > gnuplot.log
but it haven't work

I was looking at google, but I didn't find out any helpful informations :(
I will be very grateful for any idea or research direction.
