Nonlinear axes?

Hi all,
  Is there any option to scale an axis in a nonlinear way? That is, can I
have the frequency in y1 and the wavelength in y2 (these two have an inverse
relation; y1 = k / y2).
  I've looking through the documentation and the only nonlinear scaling
option for an axis seems to be logscale. Am I right? Is the implementation
of this other feature forecasted?

I'm using gnuplot 4.2.6 in OS X
