Thanks, this should serve the purpose. But still if could the system automatically determine the range of the y values, say u 3:(?):(?), then system automatically determines ( ...y=? ...) = mean of the y range in the other plots, or in default at 0, (...yerr=? ...) = standard deviation of y values in the other plots, or in default at 1. it seems to me the above functionality is not hard to implement since there has been use of (), if there could be a check for ? during syntax sparse, then accumulate mean and/or std from other column of output. It seems to me adding this functionality does not interfere with other existing functionalities ..
