[Gnuplot-info] empty data sets

I have a dynamic script, fired by cgi that prints a graph.  Data is
dynamically supplied by the script in two plots.  It is possible that
either or both of the two plots might contain no data.  I just realized
that when one of the two plots is empty no graph was being emitted at
all, even though the other plot had data.

The plot command I used was:
plot "-" u 1:2 ti "Weekday" w impulses, "-" u 1:2 ti "Weekend" w impulses
<a bunch of data>
e
e

I expected to see the Weekday series and not the Weekend, but instead
saw nothing.


It was easy enough to fix this in the script with if logic, but
arguably, shouldn't I expect gnuplot to plot something if I give it
something even if one of the series is blank?
