problem: gnuplot with libeditline

Hi,

After switching to Ubuntu Jaunty bi-directional
communication with gnuplot did not work. The Ubuntu
version is linked to libeditline. I then built gnuplot
myself and linked against libreadline, and it worked
(version 4.2.5). That's as far as I tracked it.
