Here is an even more simple-minded test case that shows the
code is still seriously broken. It works fine for all 
rgb-capable terminal except win.

plot '-' using 1:2:3 with lines lc rgb var
0 0 0
 
0 0   51200
1 0.3 51200

0 0.3 51200
1 0.6 51200

0 0.6 51200
1 0.9 51200
