I am trying to plot a text file with the plot command but it's not working.
I have a text file that looks exactly like this:
360.237 28.0005 360.237 5.61059 360.237 3.00051
362.869 28.0005 362.869 5.61482 362.869 3.00052
365.5 28.0005 365.5 5.61818 365.5 3.00052
368.132 28.0005 368.132 5.62067 368.132 3.00053
370.763 28.0005 370.763 5.62226 370.763 3.00053
373.395 28.0005 373.395 5.62292 373.395 3.00054
376.026 28.0005 376.027 5.62265 376.027 3.00054
378.658 28.0005 378.658 5.62145 378.658 3.00055
381.29 28.0006 381.29 5.6193 381.29 3.00056
383.921 28.0006 383.921 5.61621 383.921 3.00056
386.553 28.0006 386.553 5.6122 386.553 3.00057
I'm trying to plot it with this command:
$ plot 'test.txt' using 1:2 with lines, 'test.txt' using 3:4 with lines,
'test.txt' using 5:6 with lines
And I get this message:
#PLOT 1
plot: unrecognized command `0xa' encountered in input
plot: could not parse input file `test.txt'
Am I doing anything wrong, or is plot just broken?
When I start gnuplot, it gives me this version info:
G N U P L O T
Version 4.2 patchlevel 2
last modified 31 Aug 2007
System: Linux 2.6.23.15-80.fc7
Thanks for your help in advance.
