It does on mine.

I understand you are excited about getting a book published.
But the rest of the world has no particular reason to read your
Table of Contents on the gnuplot home page.  From the point of
view of someone visiting the gnuplot page, what is gained by
having the book's table of contents there? 
Maybe if they were live links...

How about removing the ToC and restorgin the remaining
two table entries to being side-by-side, as they were
originally?
