RE: circle and ellipse object patch

With regard to the comments a few days ago.  One use I see for the patch is the ability to put a background color on a polar gridded plot.  For now I have to multi-plot with a filled curve followed by my real data.  It gets the desired effect but can be confusing to non-gnuplot experts.

I vote for adding the patch.  It is a natural companion to the rectangle objects.
