[Gnuplot-info] Trying to plot backup times

Hi everyone,
I am trying plot backup times from a CSV file.
In my CSV file, for each line I have start date & time, stop date and
time, servername, and KB/Sec
I would like a graph something like the following (or with x and y
swapped):

t |    | | 
e |  | | 
  |  |
  |______________________
     w x y z
       Servername

etc

I was hoping a share-type graph in Excel might be able to do this, but
it seems to need three values, and doesn't like text entries for the x
axis.
Eventually, I would like to be able to set a value for the thickness of
each line, depending on the KB/sec value.
To start with though, I'm having trouble picking the right graph type to
plot this, what would you guys suggest?
