Good to hear.  

The circle/ellipse patch is one of two sitting there mostly because
nobody has expressed much enthusiasm.  The other is alpha-channel support
for image data.   In both cases the missing element is a demonstrated
need for the new feature.

Probably the most helpful thing you could send is a demo script
(with data if necessary) that illustrates why it is useful to you.
I will incorporate the demo into the patch set.
