Rounded dashed lines

Hi all. I'm not really sure why this happens, but if I create a graph in 
gnuplot using the epslatex (or even just plain postscript) terminal with 
rounded and dashed lines, the dashed lines come out as solid lines when 
I convert to PDF with either Distiller or epstopdf. Why? The dashed 
lines show up fine in the eps file when I preview it.
