help fails after load pipe

After the load command with pipe

 load "< some_command"

help command may fail. For example, in the case PAGER=less, 

 gnuplot> load "< awk 'BEGIN{print \"print 3\"}'"
 3
 gnuplot> help
 Missing filename ("less -\?" for help)

 gnuplot: 4.2.0, 4.3 (Feb.2007) 
   (config.h: #define PIPES 1, #define PIPE_IPC 1)
