     Aye,  that's  the rub, Timothée; I'm setting up gnuplot
as a webservice, and having antialiased PNGs would be a sig‐
nificant quality-improvement.

     Where  does  the pdf code live; and would it be a suit‐
able template for making a Cairo-PNG patch?
