Perhaps you were looking for a more encompassing name reflecting the overall effect of "estimate hidden line removal".  But in some sense, "depthorder" or "sort3d" is specific too because the user needs to understand that the pm3d elements are what are being sorted.  So "outline" is no more specific than "depthorder".
