gnuplot numerical errors on Intel MacBook

[CM <mon...@gm...>]

Has anyone seen numerical errors on the MacBook line of computers?  I have
tried both gnuplot 4.0 and 4.1 (compiled from source, not the mac package),
and in each case the result of

plot gamma(x)

is very, very wrong.  Has anyone else seen this?  I searched the archives
for this list and didn't see anything relevant.
