In my original post of this thread, I explained that I did not want to
interfere with the release of 4.2. Nevertheless, it seems that this may
have caused a little friction on the team, which I regret.

I appreciate Dan's work and his latest patch but still have some
questions/problems regarding its use. However, from some of the
comments, it seems best to defer these questions until after the release
of the new version.
