Please don't forget to 'set output' (without file name) after this, and 
before you try to do anything with the generated file.  Always close 
your file before you open it in another program.

I don't think anybody can help you much with that, if you aren't more 
specific about what is so "terrible" about this.  You may want to 
re-think the choices font and size.  Drawing all text in the plot in 
Italic hardly seems a good idea, in terms of readability, and size 14 
may be a bit too large for such a small plot.
