I've taken the animate GIF output from gnuplot (200 x 200) and run it through gifsicle simply as follows gifsicle -d 5 test.gif > test2.gif i.e., changed the inter image delay and then run test2.gif through gthumb and the animation works. This would be darn close to acceptable. I can turn off interpolation and it looks very good enlarged to full screen. (If only there were a "freeze" or "step through" mode... 20 x 20 cropping would be great.) So, does this suggest that something is not correct about gnuplots animation GIF output format? Dan |
