pm3d.dem "color lines: 'splot sin(y)/(y) with linespoints palette'"

In the pm3d.dem example "color lines: 'splot sin(y)/(y) with linespoints palette'" are the points as well as the lines supposed to be hidden?  In general, the points appear to be hidden, but when zooming about sometimes I see the points come through.
