Hi, We are working on a Linux project which include graph design or plotting. So, we required a lib/component usable in Linux application development in C/C++ and should support following features: - 3D surface contour charting & 3D Scatter charting (by 3D we mean there will be actually 3 axis: x, y, z on which data will be plotted and not just 3D look or effect) Other features to consider in selection are: -Rotation of chart to view from all angles -Zoom in and out of charts -Click able parameters So,we want the technical support and pricing for this. there is some code in 'util.c', subroutine 'gprintf', which calculates the mantissa for base 1000 and some code which generates iso decimal prefix letters, you may use it like this: set format y "%3.0s%c" i'm not sure, but it seems to be undocumented, so have a look at the source code to see which additional format options are available. Hi,
as the subjects says i've a plot with a lot x tics, and the output is
garbled, is there a way to skip some of them?
Here is my gnuplot script:

As you can see, on the x axis i've time samples and i would like to have
1 tic printed every 6 hours or so and (if possible) the name of the day
printed below the x axis
every time it wraps 24hours.
I've already tried to play around with 'xdata time', but i couldn't get
anything usable...

Hello All,
I have a question about multibranch fit. If you type
'help fit' in gnuplot and then click multibranch fit
then the following syntax will appear for it:
f(x,y) = (y==0) ? a*exp(-x/tau) : b*exp(-x/tau)
fit f(x,y) 'datafile' using 1:-2:2:3 via a, b, tau
Now I want to fit more than 2 parameters with
multibranch fit, for example, in this way:
f(x,y) = (y==0) ? a*exp(-x/tau) : b*exp(-x/tau):
c*exp(-x/tau)
fit f(x,y) 'datafile' using 1:-2:2:3 via a,b,c,tau
but it gives error that ';' is expected.
I have 10 indexes in my datafile. So I want it for 10
parameters.
Any suggestions please?

Hi i have a file points.dat consisting of lines of the form <x-coord> <y-coord> <z-coord> When i plot these points with splot "points.dat" using 1:2:3 as points the points are correctly drawn, but they all have the same color (red). Is there a way to specify that the z-coordinate determines a point's color, for instance with a palette? I am using gnuplot Version 4.0 patchlevel 0 on fedora fc 6 Thank You Jody |
