It looks to me that mirroring of gnuplot.sf.net to www.gnuplot.info does not work (cf. pages from October/November to those of May). Could somebody restart this service? --- PM |

I have posted this message several times already, but no one responded. Who is the maintainer of www.gnuplot.info??? FWD: Mirroring of gnuplot.sf.net to www.gnuplot.info does not work -- cf. pages from October/November to those of May. Who is maintaining www.gnuplot.info? Could he restart the mirroring? --- PM |

I have forwarded your mail to Clark Gaylord. |

It seems that he is not responding. Site www.gnuplot.info is obsolete -- untouched for many months. Has somebody else access to that site to restart the mirroring? Or to put a redirection html page to gnuplot.sf.net? --- PM |

Or to put a redirection html page to gnuplot.sf.net? I'll ping him again at different email addresses. The domain is expiring in Jan 2009, no need to worry just yet. As I just found out, I seem to have administrative access to sf.gnuplot.info, but not www.gnuplot.info. Not sure what the relationship between them is. Both, plus ftp.gnuplot.info, point to the sam IP address, but I can't find the actual www and ftp stuff on the machine. |

I too see nothing that looks like html. In fact, I see versions of gnuplot as recent as 3.7 and that's it. The only thing with 4.0 in the title is a bunch of files in the directory /incoming E.g., /incoming/198.82.245.202_V4.0.0.37B_20041113001202.backup.blue Maybe that is the necessary stuff? Dan |

I had to remove Clark from all the mailing lists' admin entries because it caused a mail loop between the mailman's admin notifications and the bounces from users.sf.net. Where ever he went, he forgot to take his sf.net address with him. > Both, plus ftp.gnuplot.info, point to the sam IP address, but I can't find > the actual www and ftp stuff on the machine. A possibly important notice: ftp.gnuplot.info is quite screwed up. There's the old place our stuff used to be in (/pub/gnuplot), and a much reduced, cleaned-up version in (/pub/gnuplot/pub/gnuplot). The latter is almost certainly unintentional. It's dated 2004-08-15, three days newer than the ncftpd directory on the same machine. IIRC, the machine's copy of ncftpd ran to the end of some temporary licence around that time, and started to grind down voluntarily, and finally got a fresh unlimited license donated by NicMerSoft. It appears the mirroring didn't survive the server update. |

However, perusing some demos, I'd=20 suggest someone removing this one: Une belle fille <http://f3wm.free.fr/linux/gp_girl.html> =96 gnuplot peut= =20 tracer n'importe quelle courbe depuis un fichier de donn=E9s ad=E9quat (A beatiful girl =96 gnuplot can plot any curve from a suitable datafile)= . However, in the scientific field traditionally=20 being male oriented, unless one is willing to put a picture of a buff=20 stud with his dangly parts hanging out, I'd call this one sexist. Dan |
