For those of you who want to update your FreeDOS installation without having to burn the ISO to cdrom and then install, I have created a zip package of the contents of the freedos directory. No sources however. http://fdos.org/ripcord/beta9rc5/addon/FDOS.zip [2.3MB] that means we now have a generic bootdisk (http://fdos.org/ripcord/beta9rc5/addon/odin7bin.zip), an installation ZIP package (http://fdos.org/ripcord/beta9rc5/addon/FDOS.zip), a FreeDOS installation cdrom (http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/beta9rc5/fdbootcd.zip), and finally the special FreeDOS installation bootdisk I prepared (http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/beta9rc5/fdos1440.zip) the ODIN7BIN disk is a version I created for easy testing of freedos components, and is updated sometimes when newer FreeDOS components are released (see www.freedos.org mainpage for that). Steve Nicholas will release a final ODIN including sources sometime. Bernd |
