I thought I remembered LCC being offered once before, but did not remember who, when, etc. I followed LCC development for some time a few years ago, bought the book and played with it. It's not bad, but for x86 systems it's not as efficient at code generation as gcc, from what I recall. It's nice, and I would like it offered in the distribution but not as an "official" compiler.
