Hi all, the end of February is drawing near, and we need to decide when to release FreeCol 0.6.0. We have made a great deal of progress since 0.5.4 was released. Many interface elements were overhauled, reports were added, in-game information has been improved. Bugs have been eliminated and stability has been improved (I think). However, we still have neither trade routes nor diplomatic agreements between players. I have started working on these issues, but I am not making much progress. Frankly, I could do with some help. Are we going to release 0.6.0 in the near future, or are we going to wait until we have implemented all features on the road map? If we wait, we might be able to include new translations and possibly shinydaemon's new terrain graphics. On the other hand, our users are eager to benefit from the improvements we have already made. If we were to release 0.6.0 soon, should we then work towards a few minor releases, fixing bugs and adding the missing features? Should we create a new branch for 0.7.0, so that we can fix issues with the 0.6 branch while refactoring the game model? And will we include music? If so, which music? What do you think?
