I'd be willing to take on this duty. I've been working on the codebase for the past few months and plan to continue doing so. I added support for indian settlements and am currently focusing on refactoring the Goods class. I'm finding this to be an enjoyable hobby and wouldn't mind putting a little additional time into it. In my past experience, I coordinated the WorldForge game project for several years and am currently an admin for the Inkscape vector graphics project, among other things (see Freshmeat). For FreeCol I want to see it succeed in providing a suitable implementation of the original Colonization game, and I also hope it can be done generally enough that in the future a sequel and other Colonization-like games can be derived from the codebase.
