Now this makes no sense at all. I see two possibilities why it was implemented, and both are flawed: 1- What happens between turns is not important and supposed to be ignored by the user, and making it dark looks nice. The problem with this is that if indeed what happens is irrelevant, then why show the unit movements in the first place. Skip them altogether, make things quicker, let the end of turn report be the only thing the user should rely on. 2- What happens between turns is in fact important, but the screen was made darker to show that it's not the user's turn. I think this was the idea you had, not point 1. Of course it's flawed because if the things that go on are important, then why make them hard to see? As I wrote in another feature request, I would like the option to skip showing certain AI-player movements altogether (e.g. Indians, or a specific Indian tribe, friendly Europeans, etc).
