Definitely. I think "artificiality" must not be the sole determining factor for or against a game rule - this is a strategy game, after all, not a realistic simulation. Otherwise, there would be much bigger issues to attack, including the unrealistic facts that food stays fresh in the warehouse for centuries, or that ships need decades to travel from North to South America. ;) Perhaps this is something we need to discuss more generally - at what point does a Col1-rule stop being a feature we want to copy, and starts being a "stupid artifact" bordering on being a bug? And who gets to decide that? |
